Mammograms are ACR accredited and FDA approved. They are performed in specially designed suite which offers privacy and is well decorated to give an at home feel. Patients who have never had a mammogram are shown a video explaining the exam. All mammograms are performed by staff registered in mammography who are required to obtain continuing education to maintain their licensure. In addition to being read by our radiologist, the mammogram films are also sent to be read by a Computer-Aided Diagnostics (CAD) machine. This system is a new technology that double-checks behind the radiologist for all the mammogram films that come through our system.
