as possible. These tasks can include bathing, grooming, dressing, homemaking and work
related tasks. The assessment and implementation of the use of adaptive equipment helps
individuals compensate for losses.
Early intervention and school based services address patterns of normal
development to allow children to achieve developmental milestones. Orthotics fabrication
for the upper extremity either by custom fabrication or prefabricated items are available
to improve range of motion, reduce deformities to allow for independence with daily
activities. Services include: cognitive and perceptual testing and retraining,
neuromuscular re-education, upper extremity splinting, fabrication of adaptive equipment. |
